Improvements to Sharphaw play area in Skipton

We want to hear your views about how we can improve the play area on Sharphaw Avenue in Skipton.

Background

We are working to improve the quality of the existing play area on Sharphaw Avenue in Skipton. Currently the play area:

  • only offers a limited range of equipment
  • has some items that have previously been removed and not replaced
  • consists of equipment, safety surfacing, and fencing that is in poor condition

Due to safety concerns, the site has been temporarily closed.

The purpose of this public consultation is to gain feedback from local residents and play area users to help us understand what improvements are needed. The responses will guide the decision on whether to:

  • refurbish and reopen the existing play area; or
  • repurpose the site as a general green space for community use

The consultation report will be used to inform the final proposals for this site.
