Changes have been proposed to the Published Admission Numbers (PANs) of eight schools, by the governing bodies of community and voluntary controlled schools.
These changes are:
- Barrowcliff Primary School from a PAN of 60 to 30 for reception
- Cowling Community Primary School from a PAN of 19 to 15 for reception
- Harrogate, Grove Road Community Primary School from a PAN of 40 to 30 for reception
- Pickering Community Infant School from a PAN of 60 to 30 for reception
- Wavell Community Primary School from a PAN of 60 to 30 for reception
- Boroughbridge High School from a PAN of 128 to 93 for year 7
- Risedale Sports and Community College from a PAN of 150 to 90 for year 7
- Thirsk School and Sixth Form College from a PAN of 195 to 190 for year 7

Voluntary aided, foundation, academy, university technical colleges and free schools
The determination of admission arrangements for voluntary aided, foundation, academy, university technical colleges and free schools is the responsibility of the schools’ governing bodies as the admission authority for the school. Any comments relating to a voluntary aided, foundation, academy, university technical colleges or free schools should be addressed directly to the school in question.
The admission arrangements for voluntary aided, foundation, academy, UTC and free schools were not included in this consultation and these admission authorities may or may not be consulting on their admission arrangements for the 2027 to 2028 school year.
