Referendum on the neighbourhood plan for the Clapham cum Newby area
1. A referendum will take place on Thursday 18 September 2025 to decide on the question below:
“Do you want North Yorkshire Council and the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority to use the neighbourhood plan for Clapham cum Newby to help it decide planning applications in the neighbourhood area?”
2. Applications to register to vote must reach the Electoral Registration Officer at:

HG1 2AE by midnight on Tuesday 2 September 2025.

3. New postal vote applications, amendments or cancellations of postal votes and amendments or cancellations of proxy votes must reach the electoral registration officer by 5pm on Wednesday 3 September 2025 at:

To apply on the grounds of service, occupation or employment, the person must have become aware that they could not go to the polling station in person after 5pm on Wednesday 10 September 2025.
