A Yorkshire institution creating delicacies for over a century

With Easter just around the corner, we have teamed up with Bettys to offer you the chance to win some delicious seasonal treats.

One lucky winner will receive an Irresistibly Bettys hamper worth £150 and packed with a collection of favourites from the Harrogate-based baker and confectioner.

The hamper includes a chocolate shortbread box, fruit clusters, a Yorkshire shortbread box, Yorkshire gingerbread, salted caramel chocolates, milk chocolate guineas and a Yorkshire Tea fruit cake.

If that’s not enough, there are also 80 Bettys Tea Room Blend tea bags, 200 grams of Bettys Café Classic Blend ground coffee and a reusable Bettys cup.

And two runners-up will each receive a Bettys Classics selection including Yorkshire gingerbread, a Yorkshire shortbread box, a Yorkshire fruit cake and Florentines along with 80 Bettys Tea Room Blend tea bags and Café Blend coffee.

Each of the Bettys Classics selections are worth £50 and all the prizes are suitable for vegetarians.

Since opening in Harrogate in 1919, Bettys has become a Yorkshire institution, loved by locals and on the ‘must visit’ list of tourists from all over the world.

Founder Frederick Belmont, a Swiss baker and chocolatier, dreamed of introducing continental café culture to Yorkshire and over 100 years later, with five Café Tea Rooms based around the region, Bettys has become a byword for excellence.

Its blend of heritage marries Swiss precision with Yorkshire warmth. Generations of customers continue to create memories and celebrate key moments over a cup of tea and a delicious slice of cake.

Bettys' five branches in Harrogate, RHS Harlow Carr, Northallerton, York and Ilkley, along with its online shop, are supplied daily by Bettys Craft Bakery.

With outstanding ingredients and finely detailed craft skills, Bettys bakers and chocolatiers like to make sure that there’s a little something about every product that makes it rather difficult to put down.
