There is no charge for repairing or replacing:
- broken or missing wheels
- cracked or missing lids
- split or damaged bins
If you have been told by our collection crews that your bin is damaged, we will automatically arrange a repair or replacement. We will leave a postcard at your property to tell you what happened and we will arrange for a bin to be delivered. You do not need to contact us to request a replacement bin.
Damaged bins will be repaired or replaced free of charge, unless the damage has been caused deliberately. There is a £35 charge for a replacement bin due to fire, suspected arson or deliberate damage. You can pay for this online.
We aim to deliver or repair bins within 15 working days. We will take away the damaged bin when we deliver the replacement.
