Creative Economy Commissions Fund

This fund is open to small organisations and individuals that will deliver activities in the Ryedale area.

Following a successful round of commissions last year, we are launching another round of Creative Economy Commissions.

All proposed activity must take place in the Ryedale area. Organisations and individuals that are based outside of Ryedale can apply but priority will be given to those who are Ryedale-based.

Key aims

The aims of the Creative Economy Commissioning scheme is to make strategic investment into aspects of the sector where specific regional development opportunities have been identified. Following sector consultation and respecting wider priorities in the North Yorkshire Council Plan, the following project areas have been identified:

  • training/skills development/placement opportunities within the sector, supporting the promotion and sustainability of the creative economy in the Ryedale area
  • development of a touring programme/cultural access and opportunities in more remote rural parts of the Ryedale area
  • community based creative health and wellbeing programme development
  • developing quality cultural opportunities/access/programmes for young people

We are accepting applications for projects that will address one of these themes.
