Counselling is offered by community mental health teams for people who receive mental health services.
Some counselling is therapeutic, while other services may provide information, advice and support.
If you have help from mental health services or social care services, they will advise you how to get the support you need. Other routes include your GP, your Citizens Advice Bureau for local services, or the Yellow Pages.
We work with health trusts and other organisations throughout the county to provide specialist services supporting people affected by mental health problems. For more information see the mental health section.
