As part of local government reorganisation, we will be looking at the homelessness and rough sleeping strategies in the future. After seeking legal advice, we have decided to continue with the current policies created by the former district and borough councils.

The strategies set out the main priorities and actions required to reduce homelessness. They aim to improve services and, where homelessness cannot be avoided, to ensure that the journey from temporary accommodation to a new home is accomplished as quickly and as efficiently as possible.
