Gas Safe charity grants scheme in the Scarborough area

The Gas Safe Charity scheme works to address the risk of death, injury and illness caused by dangerous gas work and appliances.

The scheme also promotes gas safety awareness.

The following types of essential minor work can be carried out through this scheme:

  • gas safety checks
  • gas servicing
  • gas boiler repairs
  • gas boiler combustion analysis
  • gas cookers
  • fires
  • gas pipework
  • gas meters
  • water heaters

Eligibility for the scheme

The following homeowners are eligible for the scheme:

  • homeowners who are aged 60 or over and have low household income and / or a disability
  • homeowners who are aged 18 to 59 and have a low household income and / or a disability
  • homeowners who are considered exceptionally vulnerable by the home improvements agency (an explanation must be provided)
