Get involved in housing for the Richmondshire area

Find out how you can get involved in housing decision-making in your area.

Tenant involvement agreement

This agreement was developed with our tenant panel and details the ways we work with you to develop, monitor and improve our services.

We believe that everyone should have an equal chance to get involved at a level that suits them. This includes the young, elderly, single parents, people in ethnic minority groups, people of all faiths, and people with disabilities.

With the help of our tenants, we developed a menu of involvement to help you choose how you would like to get involved.  Find the menu of involvement here (pdf / 92 KB).

If you do not have time to attend meetings, you could join a group that is consulted via surveys, or give your opinion on our leaflets and guides, or help with the tenants' newsletter.

We will support you with training for your chosen role and can help with transport, child care and parking costs.

We are also encouraging the development of recognised estate forums, with annual grants available for room hire, travel costs, refreshments and care costs for tenants to attend meetings.

Estate walkabouts

Our estate managers carry out estate walkabouts, inviting you to take part in walks around your local area to spot problems, see what can be done to solve them and improve the estate.
