Gas Safe Charity grants scheme

Find out which works can be carried out, who is eligible and how to make a referral to the Gas Safe Charity grants scheme.

This scheme provides preventative services that directly address the risks of death, injuries and illness caused by dangerous gas work and appliances, and the promotion of gas safety awareness.

The following types of essential minor work can be carried out through this scheme:

  • gas safety checks
  • gas servicing
  • gas boiler repairs
  • gas boiler combustion analysis
  • gas cookers
  • fires
  • gas pipework
  • gas meters
  • water heaters

Eligibility

Those eligible are:

  • home owners who are aged 60 or over and have low household income and / or a disability
  • home owners who are aged 18-59 and have a low household income and/or a disability
  • home owners who are considered exceptionally vulnerable by the home improvement agency - an explanation must be provided
