Review of the Ryedale local plan

As part of the review, the Ryedale local plan will now be incorporated into the the new North Yorkshire Local Plan.

A decision was taken at a meeting of the council on the 19 July 2023 that work on the Ryedale Plan Review be halted as a standalone project.

All work undertaken to date will be considered as part of the preparation of the new North Yorkshire Local Plan.

Until a new local plan is adopted, the Ryedale Plan will remain the development plan used for the consideration of planning applications for the former Ryedale district area outside of the national park.
