Applying for a berth
We operate a waiting list procedure. It is £25 to join the waiting list and this deposit will be deducted from the first invoice when a berth is accepted.
See our Whitby Harbour fees and charges.
The berthing season runs from 1 April to 31 October. Winter moorings run from 1 November to 31 March and are optional.
All craft to maintain a slow speed within harbour limits.
Safety and security
There are fire alarms on the church street, drying and west side pontoons. Rescue ladders are also fitted to pontoons (please take note of where these are located).
Raise the alarm! Contact either the marina office, harbour office or watchkeepers office. Clear the area of any people particularly down wind of fire. Leave the area in an orderly manner.
Ensure that your craft is properly secured with bow, stern lines and springs.
All berth holders must produce a copy of their insurance with a minimum third-party limit of £3,000,000.
You must sign a contract agreeing to harbour rules.
All pontoon moorings are double moored unless otherwise stated. Please take care to use appropriate fendering.
Submit berth transfer requests to the harbour office in writing.
Keep these on a lead and do not let them foul the pontoons or footpaths.
