Applying for a berth

We operate a waiting list procedure. It is £25 to join the waiting list and this deposit will be deducted from the first invoice when a berth is accepted.

Mooring periods

The berthing season runs from 1 April to 31 October. Winter moorings run from 1 November to 31 March and are optional.

Speed

All craft to maintain a slow speed within harbour limits.

Safety and security

There are fire alarms on the church street, drying and west side pontoons. Rescue ladders are also fitted to pontoons (please take note of where these are located).

Fire drill

Raise the alarm! Contact either the marina office, harbour office or watchkeepers office. Clear the area of any people particularly down wind of fire. Leave the area in an orderly manner.

Mooring lines

Ensure that your craft is properly secured with bow, stern lines and springs.

Insurance requirements

All berth holders must produce a copy of their insurance with a minimum third-party limit of £3,000,000.

Berthing contract

You must sign a contract agreeing to harbour rules. 

Mooring arrangements

All pontoon moorings are double moored unless otherwise stated. Please take care to use appropriate fendering.

Transfers

Submit berth transfer requests to the harbour office in writing.  

Pets

Keep these on a lead and do not let them foul the pontoons or footpaths.
