Win two tickets to see Sir Tom Jones or Jess Glynne

The Scarborough Open Air Theatre is welcoming some exciting headline acts to the stage this summertime and Your North Yorkshire readers have the fantastic opportunity to enter two competitions. There are two tickets available to watch Sir Tom Jones perform and another two tickets for popstar Jess Glynne’s performance – you can choose which competition to enter.

The 8,500-capacity outdoor concert venue that was restored by the former Scarborough Borough Council in 2010 has grown year on year and has now hosted in excess of 140 live music events. Artists include huge names such as Kylie Minogue, Bryan Adams, The Stereophonics, Christina Aguilera, Britney Spears, Sting, Hollywood Vampires, Duran Duran and many more.

Since reopening, the theatre has attracted more than three million people and record numbers are expected to attend concerts in 2024 from artists such as Paul Weller, Deacon Blue, Madness, Fat Boy Slim, Becky Hill and Simple Minds.

Tom Jones

Pop superstar Jess Glynne makes a long-awaited return to the Yorkshire coast for her third unmissable headline show at Scarborough Open Air Theatre on 15 June. The news of the gig follows the recent arrival of her latest single, Friend of Mine. The single comes after the summer hit, What Do You Do?.

Both brilliant singles mark a new and more personal chapter for the Grammy-winning singer-songwriter, who has delivered some of the most memorable dance-pop hits of the past decade.

Sir Tom continues to sustain his popularity around the world, captivating audiences with his timeless discography of hit songs and enduring talent and charisma. With a remarkable career spanning more than six decades, he is widely considered to be one of the greatest singers and recording artists of all time, selling more than 100 million records and continuing as an esteemed and influential figure in the music industry.

At the age of 83, Sir Tom has received some of the best reviews of his career for his most recent Ethan Johns-produced albums, Surrounded By Time, Long Lost Suitcase, Spirit In The Room, and Praise and Blame. Critics praised both the recorded material and his performances, highlighting his undeniable and world-famous talent in both the studio and on stage.
