The festive season ranks as the most popular time of year for marriage proposals, so many newly engaged couples are embarking on the exciting journey of planning their forthcoming weddings.

We’ve teamed up with our registration service to offer one lucky couple the chance to win a completely free, fully personalised wedding ceremony at one of the licensed venues in the county, worth up to £665.

The prize is for the actual civil wedding ceremony that our registrars will conduct. Unless you choose to marry at one of our registration offices, you will still have to pay for the hire of a licensed venue and any other associated costs for your wedding day.

With more than 200 licensed venues to choose from, including romantic castles, charming coastal retreats, rustic countryside barns and stylish town centre hotels, as well as our own registration offices, North Yorkshire offers the perfect setting for every couple’s dream ceremony.

Our registrars can help you plan something traditional or totally different, as they are experts at crafting ceremonies that reflect the personalities, values and quirks of every couple.

You can write your own vows and choose your own music and readings. Whether you want to walk down the aisle to your favourite song, include a reading from your favourite book, or simply say “I do” in your own words, we’ll help you to make it happen.

Performing more than 4,500 ceremonies every year, our registrars have seen it all, from heartfelt vows to hilarious moments – including brides in dinosaur costumes, dogs as ring bearers and best men turning up with some unexpected dance moves.
