One of the most effective ways of reducing your carbon footprint can be ensuring your home is as energy efficient as possible.

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund's Decarbonisation theme grants are now open for applications:

Community Climate Action Programme

This provides support for voluntary or community organisations operating in North Yorkshire to develop and deliver climate action projects including:

  • specialist advice
  • decarbonisation plans - for buildings and 'places'
  • revenue and capital grants of up to £50,000

Business Sustainability Programme

This programme supports businesses with up to 250 employees, operating in North Yorkshire, to reduce energy bills, minimise carbon footprint and identify new opportunities from net zero, including:

  • specialist advice
  • sustainability audits
  • small grants for 'quick wins' and larger grants of up to £50,000

Elderly People Residential Homes Net Zero Audits

Support is available for businesses that operate elderly people residential care homes, with up to 250 employees, operating in North Yorkshire, to reduce energy bills, minimise carbon footprint and identify new opportunities from net zero, including:

  • sustainability audits
