This library is managed and operated by volunteers working in partnership with North Yorkshire Council.

Library opening hours

  • Monday: 2pm to 5pm
  • Tuesday: 10am to 4pm
  • Wednesdays: 2pm to 5pm
  • Thursday: closed
  • Friday: 10am to 4pm
  • Saturday: 10am to 12noon
  • Sunday: closed

Finding the library, parking and access

The library can be found in the rear of Bedale Hall, at the end of the High Street opposite Bedale Church. A bus stop is on the High Street.

Parking is available for 20 cars including two disabled spaces. Alternative parking is available on the market square and in the car parks behind the shops on both sides of the High Street. Some assistance may be required to help wheelchairs enter Bedale Hall, but all areas of the library are accessible to wheelchairs.

Items available from the library

You can borrow a range of books for all ages in a variety of formats, including large print and audio. Music CDs, DVDs and foreign language titles are also available for loan, as well as micro:bits. You can request any item that is not immediately available.
