You need consent from us to sell any article in the street, including food, and for themed markets such as Christmas markets in Harrogate town centre.
Food traders must also get a food business registration from the local environmental health office.

Themed markets, such as continental, Fair Trade and Christmas markets, in Harrogate town centre, need consent from us.
Cambridge Street and Oxford Street are the usual venues, and only one themed market can be held per month, lasting no longer than three days. They shouldn't clash with existing traditional markets.
The application to hold a themed market must be made by an individual or organisation who will take full responsibility for the planning and operation of each event.
