Scarborough area supplementary planning documents

We produce supplementary planning documents (SPDs) on specific issues and policies. Supplementary planning documents are not statutory documents but are used to supplement the policies and allocations within the local plan. SPDs may take the form of design guides, area appraisals / development briefs or issue based documents.

Affordable housing supplementary planning document

The current supplementary planning document (SPD) was formally adopted by us on 25 February 2022.

Green space supplementary planning document

Our green space supplementary planning document (SPD) was adopted on Monday 3 November 2014.

Education payments supplementary planning document

The education payments supplementary planning document was adopted by us in May 2008 and provides guidance on when education contributions will be required in connection with residential developments.

Transport assessments supplementary planning document

The transport assessments supplementary planning document was adopted in April 2007.

Houses in multiple occupation supplementary planning document

The houses in multiple occupation supplementary planning document was formally adopted by us on 2 November 2015.

Residential design supplementary planning document

The residential design supplementary planning document was formally adopted by us on 25 February 2022.
