Whitby open market takes place on Tuesdays, Saturdays and Sundays (subject to weather conditions) in the Market Place. Regular and casual traders are welcome but preference will be given to regular traders.
Apply for a market stall
To apply for a stall you will need to contact the Market Superintendent to discuss the products you would like to sell and complete a trader application form. Contact us to apply.
What do I need to provide when I apply for a stall?
Before you can start trading you will need to complete the trader application form and provide:
- proof of your public liability insurance (this must provide cover for a minimum of £5 million)
- two forms of identification confirming name and address, e.g. utility bills or bank statements
- proof of your right to work in the UK
All traders also need to follow our market regulations.
